Patients with high blood pressure are being seen in every other household nowadays. There are blood vessels in our body called arteries, the pressure of that blood on the walls of the arteries is called blood pressure. There are two types of blood pressure, one is systolic blood pressure that is upper and the other is diastolic blood pressure which is lower.

What is High Blood Pressure?

Let us try to understand high blood pressure with a simple example. There is a motor in our house through which the water goes to different places through the motor. The work of the motor is to pump and the water from there reaches different places through pipes. By the way, our heart works as a motor in our body. From the heart through the arteries, blood reaches our veins and body parts.

If you must have seen that if you have ever pressed the water pipe, then you will feel that the pressure of the water increases and the load comes on the water and the motor because we have pressed there, then it is blocked immediately. No matter how the water wants to go ahead, but if we have pressed it, then it will give pressure.

Exactly as it happens in our body, some fat gets deposited in our arteries or something gets blocked, cholesterol increases, due to that our coriander shrinks or there are blockages in it, it pumps the heart. The blood is leaving, but the blood that is there creates pressure on the walls of the arteries because of the blockage in its path. There is a blockage but when he tries to get out of that blockage, then there comes to pressure, it is called high blood pressure.

The systolic blood pressure is 120 and our diastolic blood pressure is 80. There are two stages of high blood pressure. In the first stage, the patient’s systolic blood pressure scale reaches 130-139, while the diastolic scale reaches 80-89. In stage 2, when the systolic becomes 140, then the diastolic becomes more than 90.

Many times it also happens that if you have come running or you have come after doing yoga exercise, then your blood pressure will be high because if you have done physical exercise then it will not be called high blood pressure.

Whenever you check your BP at home, it is to see that you have not had any tea, coffee, chocolate or smoking, alcohol addiction for half an hour before that.
